New York State Assemblyman Matt Slater (R,C-Yorktown) will host a series of “Chat with Matt” events across the district on Saturday, March 21, providing residents with an opportunity to engage in friendly, open conversations about state and local issues that matter most to them.

Joined by local elected officials, Assemblyman Slater will visit several community locations throughout the day to hear directly from constituents, answer questions and discuss priorities impacting the Hudson Valley.

“Connecting with the people I represent is one of the most important parts of this job,” said Assemblyman Slater. “These ‘Chat with Matt’ events are a great way for residents to share their thoughts, ask questions and have a conversation about what’s happening in Albany and here at home.”

The schedule for Saturday’s events includes:

10 a.m. – Hill Blvd Diner Town of Yorktown Special Guest: Yorktown Supervisor Ed Lachterman

11:30 a.m. – Mahopac VFW Town of Carmel Special Guest: Carmel Councilman Robert Kearns

1 p.m. – Somers Library Town of Somers Special Guests: Somers Supervisor Rob Scorrano and Councilwoman Gina Arena

Residents are encouraged to stop by, enjoy a cup of coffee and participate in a friendly conversation about the issues impacting their communities. “These conversations help ensure the voices of our community are heard and represented,” Slater added.
