Assemblyman Matthew Slater (R,C-Yorktown) is urging constituents in his district to show their support for our soldiers through United for the Troops’ “Operation Cupid”. Operation Cupid is an annual event created by United for the Troops to send care packages to active-duty members of the military. The deadline is fast approaching (January 25), so remember to help those who give their lives for us every day.
“Our troops have the courage and bravery to ensure the protection of families here in the greatest country in the world. Expressing our appreciation for these active military members is important to recognize the sacrifices they make during their service,” said Slater. “As a Navy reservist, I understand the importance of receiving reassurance that there are people thinking of you back home, especially during the holiday season. Please donate or take time to create something that may bring joy to a service member.”
