Assemblyman Matt Slater (R,C-Yorktown) is proud to announce that Kiwi Country Day Camp, a beloved local business, has been officially recognized as a Historic Business. This prestigious designation honors Kiwi Country Day Camp for its longstanding commitment to providing a safe, educational, and fun environment for children throughout the summer and to the community year round.
“Kiwi Country Day Camp has been a cornerstone of our community, offering enriching experiences and lifelong memories for generations of families,” said Slater. “This recognition as a Historic Business highlights not only the camps exceptional history but also the impact it continues to make in shaping young lives in Putnam County and beyond.”
Founded in 1952 by Lou and H Bellotto, Kiwi Country Day Camp has built a legacy of excellence, known for its high-quality programs and dedication to creating positive, character-building experiences for children. With a focus on outdoor activities, sports, arts, and education, Kiwi Country Day Camp has played an important role in fostering the personal growth and development of countless children over the years.

As part of its recognition, Kiwi Country Day Camp will be featured in the New York State Historic Business Registry, which recognizes and honors businesses that have been in operation for at least 50 years and have contributed to their community’s history.
