Assemblyman Matt Slater (R,C-Yorktown) recently celebrated Mid-County Electrical Sales Corp., known as Mid-County Electric, officially being recognized in the New York State Historic Business Preservation Registry after successfully nominating the Carmel business for the statewide honor. Slater also presented the company with a New York State Assembly proclamation recognizing both its induction into the registry and more than 50 years of serving customers throughout the Hudson Valley.
Founded in 1973 in the Town of Carmel, Mid-County Electric has remained a family-owned and operated business, providing quality electrical supplies and lighting solutions while building lasting relationships throughout the community. In nominating the company, Slater recognized its decades of reliability, professionalism and commitment to serving the electrical needs of residents and businesses across the Hudson Valley. Following the state's approval, Mid-County Electric became one of New York’s newest Historic Business Preservation Registry honorees.
“Reaching more than 50 years in business is an outstanding accomplishment and a reflection of the dedication, integrity and hard work that have defined Mid-County Electric for generations,” said Slater. “I was proud to nominate Mid-County Electric for the New York State Historic Business Preservation Registry because of the important role it has played in strengthening our local economy and serving customers across the Hudson Valley. I'm grateful the state recognized that legacy and congratulate everyone who has contributed to this well-deserved honor.”
“We are honestly just so grateful to our community for supporting us for 53 years. Longevity is a gift. We couldn't have done it without having incredible employees and the loyalty of our customers,” said Jeff Restucci, president of Mid-County Electrical Sales Corp.
For more than five decades, Mid-County Electric has earned a reputation for dependable service, quality products and knowledgeable expertise. As a trusted supplier of electrical products and lighting solutions, the company has supported homeowners, contractors and businesses while remaining a valued member of the Carmel community.
Established by New York state in 2020, the Historic Business Preservation Registry recognizes businesses that have operated for at least 50 years and have contributed to the history, heritage and identity of their communities. Mid-County Electric’s induction celebrates both its decades of service and its enduring impact on the Hudson Valley.
