Lt. Governor Should Be Removed From Office Following Indictment



ALBANY, NY – This morning the New York Times reported Lt. Governor Brian Benjamin was arrested and is facing a federal bribery conspiracy indictment. Benjamin is the second highest ranking official in New York State. Matt Slater, candidate for the 94th Assembly District stated the following:


"It's another day and another Albany scandal. New Yorkers are tired of having their trust violated by greedy politicians. The Legislature should return to the Capitol immediately and remove Mr. Benjamin from office."


The 94th Assembly District includes the Town's of Carmel, Kent, Patterson, Putnam Valley, Southeast, Somers and parts of Yorktown.
