Assemblyman Matt Slater (R,C-Yorktown) today announced he is hosting his annual Feminine Hygiene Drive throughout May to support individuals and families in need across the 94th Assembly District.
The drive, running from May 1 through May 29, will collect essential personal care items including pads, tampons, deodorant, shampoo and conditioner. Donations will be distributed to local organizations serving residents throughout the community.
“Access to basic hygiene products is something many of us take for granted, but for too many individuals in our community, these essentials can be out of reach,” said Slater. “This drive is about coming together to support our neighbors and ensure everyone has access to the products they need to live with dignity.”
Donation drop-off locations include Putnam CAP in Brewster, Town Halls in Carmel, Southeast, Kent, Putnam Valley, Yorktown and Somers, as well as Patterson Recreation.
Slater is encouraging residents to participate by donating unopened and unused items at any of the listed locations during regular business hours.
“Our community has always stepped up to help one another in times of need,” Slater added. “I’m confident we can come together once again to make a meaningful difference for local families.”
