For the second time, the Westchester/Putnam Building and Construction Trades Council has endorsed Matt Slater for the 94th Assembly District, reaffirming their support as he seeks re-election. The endorsement recognizes Slater’s ongoing advocacy for the trades and his significant contributions to infrastructure improvements.
Slater has consistently demonstrated his commitment to the construction trades and has led to the completion of crucial infrastructure projects, creating good-paying jobs for skilled workers. His proven track record at the state level assures that he will remain a strong voice for the entire district.
The Westchester/Putnam Building and Construction Trades Council represents more than two dozen construction unions and over 30,000 members, advocating for the rights and interests of skilled laborers in the region.
“Receiving this endorsement for a second time is a tremendous honor. It validates our efforts to address critical infrastructure needs and to foster a competitive economic environment in the 94th Assembly District,” said Slater. “As we look to the future, I am eager to continue partnering with the Building and Construction Trades to secure the necessary funding for infrastructure enhancements, including road and bridge improvements, ensuring our taxpayers receive the quality infrastructure they deserve.”
Jeff Loughlin, President of the Westchester Putnam Building and Construction Trades Council and Business Manager of Operating Engineers Local 137 said, “Assemblyman Slater’s first term in Albany has been a success and he is deserving of another term. The 94th Assembly District includes Carmel, Kent, Patterson, Putnam Valley, Somers, Southeast and parts of Yorktown. Election Day is November 5th.
